The jewel of our campus is the 1770s homestead, which is open to the public Saturday, July 10 from 10-4,  as well as the following dates through the season:  August 14, Sept. 14, (tentative), and October 9.

On those weekends, we will be hosting The Troops At Camden, 18th century living history interpreters who will be encamped on the exact site occupied by Burton’s Company of Volunteers in 1780.   You’ll learn about the history of the Camden area during the Revolutionary War, hear talks about the arms and equipment used by the soldiers, witness loading and firing demonstrations of flintlock muskets, and learn about open-fire cooking and medicine in the 18th century.

You can also call to schedule a private tour at any time.

There are no fees to tour the museum and homestead.  However, donations to help us with the upkeep of the grounds and buildings are gratefully accepted.
